Violating the quarantine regulations of the city of Jena is not a trivial offence. Anyone who violates them can expect a fine of up to €25,000 and prison sentences of up to five years, the city has pointed out. All those returning from risk areas must immediately go into quarantine for 14 days and report under 03641-49 2222 or under corona@jena.de.
Commuters to Jena who have stayed in risk areas are asked to contact their respective employers immediately. Those who commute to Jena from Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg or North Rhine-Westphalia, and who have been there before, must go into domestic quarantine for 14 days without entering the university.
