Regulations at the Thuringian University and State Library (ThULB)
For the period of the restrictions of the ThULB's user services caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the ThULB COVID-19 copy service is available as a free document delivery service. All information and access to the online order form at https://dds.thulb.uni-jena.de/login.
In addition, the ThULB is preparing to resume lending as soon as possible. Please visit the ThULB website for more information. It is expected that the first sub-libraries will be able to reopen from 11 January.
If the closure of the ThULB has put students at a disadvantage when preparing their written work, the examination offices, in consultation with the lecturers, are requested to extend the submission deadlines in these cases by the time the library is closed.
Further information on Corona disadvantage compensation can be found here: https://blog.uni-jena.de/en/2020/12/corona-nachteilsausgleich-fuer-studierende/
Students and employees may go to the university, even if they have to travel further than 15 kilometres. No certificates are required for this. This also applies to people coming from other federal states.
Access to practical trainings
If and how internships, practical exercises and supervisions with medical indications will be possible again from February depends in particular on the 7-day incidence of the city of Jena and can only be decided at the end of January.
